Self-portrait, sort of

Looking for something fun and mindless to do on an otherwise boring Friday night? Oh, that must just be me. Well, check out my self-portrait as a Simpson:

minime in cartoon

I think I’ve deceived myself and created my cartoon image to look better than the real life version, although I normally don’t display my love of sweets on my T-shirts — I just wear the real donut glaze and chocolate after I’m done. And usually I don’t notice. (Could this explain my lack of dates?)

And why does my hair color match my shoes? I swear I don’t do that and didn’t mean to do that here. My hair in real life is darker than on mini-me — even if my “real” hair color is a richer, enhanced version of my natural flat-brown-stink-of-death hair color. I guess going to the salon and paying $75 to have your hair color enhanced is like creating an avatar, except more expensive.

Anyway, you can create your own image here.

Thanks to my pal Sophie at A Hole in the Fence for the idea — not that she has boring Friday nights, mind you. And sweetheart that she is, earlier this week she named me a Blogging Star.

Blog Star

Well, shucks, Sophie. Thanks! That was a great way to start the week.

Finally, if you’re a Bob Dylan fan, go to My Brilliant Mistakes and read Cindy’s latest post (sorry, I’m too lazy to look up the direct link). Bob has a really cool way to send a video message to someone you love. Or not.

That’s it folks. I’m dragging and we have to be up for soccer photos at 7:30 a.m., games begin at 8. Yes, that is 7- f&*%ing-30 in the morning on a Saturday. I swear you early risers are trying to kill me…

  1. Well that’s a sure fire way to draw attention to your chest.

I like the avatar/salon coloring comparison. Speaking of which, I have to get up at the butt-crack of dawn tomorrow for my $75 hair-coloring appointment. No rest for the weary…
